Event Example: Lumberjack World Championships
Do you rock flannel and fell trees with the best of them? Head to Hayward, Wisconsin’s Lumberjack World Championships to show off your sawing, tree cutting, speed climbing, log rolling, and boom-running *chops.* The Championship takes place at the historic Lumberjack Bowl on the shores of scenic Lake Hayward.
Story Example: The Hodag
Ever heard of the hodag? Some say it’s a terrifying creature that hides out in the woods of Rhinelander, Wisconsin. In 1896, pioneer Eugene Shepard snapped a picture of a monster just before the beast lunged at him. Eugene’s photo showed a hairy animal seven feet long with white horns, menacing tusks, vice-like jaws, and sharp claws.
